About the lessons.

Music notation will be taught, we provide the materials but the main teaching style will be instructed by real practice, we believe that the best thing you can do as a musician is to spend time with other musicians and not as an isolated musician, therefore we emphasise the importance of practicing playing along with another instruments to develop a greater sense of musicianship and free expression.

Lessons will be conducted in English language.

Beyond Drumming.

There will be as well cultural knowledge of music, drums history, technical aspects, famous drummers, knowledge of extra accessories of the modern drum kit and much more!

 Percussion.

As an option, the student can learn as well some percussion such as Congas, Bongos, Frame Drums, as an extension of the modern drum kit, as a cultural aspect of the world of percussion, certainly receiving a greater knowledge and appreciation of the world of drums. You are not into Salsa? No problem! Congas and Bongos have been used in music genres such as Jazz, Rock, Fusion, Disco, Funk, Pop and that's the point were we jump into action.

Philosophy

Drums are a musical instrument, therefore if you are a drummer you are a musician and not an athlete, so playing faster and harder doesn't mean better, this aren't the Olympics. Therefore what's a good drummer? The one who knows expert level paradiddles and goes super technical in every music style and sounds repetitive? I don't think so. Instead I think that a good drummer is the one that projects the groove and the feeling and makes you wanna dance, the one who keeps the rest of the musicians playing inside tempo and could mark the beginning and the end of the song. As well, a complete drummer is the one who can play along a wide variety of grooves and rhythms from a romantic ballad to metal, from classic rock to smooth jazz, from bossa-nova to disco, a great drummer has repertoire of grooves and fills for a wide variety of music genres and has knowledge of a wide variety of accessories to match different music styles.
